A contemporary Romanian sculptor, recognized for the subtle ways in which he combines sacred art with the traditions of his Macedonian ethnicity, Mihai Tugearu (b. 1952, in Constanța) was "adopted" by the Bucharest art scene and succeeded in bringing the highest form of authenticity to the public's attention via his monumental works. The examination of the different facets of spirituality that transcend his work represents a major component of his creations. He began exhibiting in 1977 and, si
